Have we been on auto pilot so long that mass adoption in utilizing cryptocurrencies as a true payment system and exchange out of the question? For centuries our trust in safeguarding money has been placed in the hands of someone other than ourselves. We've given away our power by giving away our control.
Do we really desire to own the "private keys" to our wealth? Is this too much responsibility? Let's be honest, it IS nice to know that if there is a fraudulent charge on my credit or debit card, I can breathe easily knowing a simple phone call to my bank of choice results in getting my money back. This brings me peace. Does it not do so for you?
On the flip side, does this also mean that we have gotten lazy to the fact that the power lies in those who control the keys. Our modern day banking system is dripping with fraud, deceit, theft and bad actors. The frightening reality is we ALL know this, but feel helpless on what to do to change things. The bank IS the system---and we put our money, hope, and most importantly our TRUST in this corruptible institution. Why? Because we don't have a better way. At least not a way that is fully usable enough at this point to be implemented and adopted for the masses.
Controlling your own money and private keys essentially means that it's all on your shoulders.
With all distractions that life has to currently offer--is it any wonder that we willingly turn over our hard earned dollars, euros, yuan, etc...to the "MAN"?
#BTC, #ETH, #LTC is a wild ride, and I love the fact that we are all beginning to see just how powerful and influential #cryptocurrency can truly be. Because I see the possible global effect cryptocurrencies can have on our world, I decided to place 25% of my net worth in the technology, and hopefully at some point, a full exit from the current way of doing things. I watch my money and I hope you too have the desire to watch yours. Having control over our money means WE, and not corrupt officials, decide what causes and uses to fund. No more needless wars, or government programs that benefit no one but the shady politicians them peddle them. FULL CONTROL. No one to tell us when, how, or why we should spend our own money. THAT is what true peace of mind looks like.
A slow but steady move out of the world of banking dominance is the ultimate goal. Giving the #Power back to the people should be our mission in educating the public. Mass adoption won't take place over night. Adoption will be broken on the backs of those who continued to believe in the quest, the ones who took up the journey: those who succeeded and also who failed along the way.
Loved your input on this new and unknown direction we are heading into! Great perspective. 😊
It’s a good question man...
The world may not actually be ready, but it’s time and very necessary 👍🏼👊🏼
No doubt!
