If everyone is a creator, who is left to read and curate?
That is kind of the problem that steem has faced ever since it was launched.
A problem of people not really coming here just to consume content.
People may say that the content on here isn't good enough for that, well if you have been on youtube or twitter and seen some of the stuff that people go to "consume", well then you will know that we have plenty of good enough content here as well.

Changing the curation split to 50/50 as opposed to 25/75 was a good start, however, I think in the long run it probably needs to be even more.
I am thinking something like 80/20 if we want people to really prioritize curating on here.
As it stands now, and I have no evidence of this, just some critical thinking, I don't think getting half of your vote back is enough to encourage people to completely forgo creating subpar content with the hopes of capturing more rewards.
I am not married to that 80/20 number but perhaps 75/25 is the ticket or something in that ball park.
My point being that we need to do everything we can to encourage consumers and curators to come here and participate and then many of the other problems should take care of themselves.
Just some Thursday Thoughts.
