Hello mate! First of all a big thanks for all you've doing for the Steemit Community.
I'm going to start off talking a bit about my Nationality and the Country I live; I'm Venezuelan and still live in Venezuela. As you may know our country is currently having a difficult time; We are facing our worst economic crisis, there's nothing to buy using regular channels -Supermarkets, BakeShops, Drugstores, etc- The easiest way to get supplies is by buying on the black market and the prices there are unpayable for most people. This year is projected to be our worst in all possible aspects, our society is degrading by the day; Just today, I found out that people are kidnapping kids in order to sell their vital organs (3 today) We're going to end up eating each other if the don't do nothing about it. That's why, bad things aside, want to talk to you about the things I have in mind.
If you fully check out my blog, you'll understand what kind of person you're talking with. I'm a 34 year old young soul whose life has been changed completely thanks to Steemit; I'm a steady believer of this project and I'm aware how game changer might be, especially in countries that are enduring hard times such as Venezuela. That's why some Steemian Friends and my persona decided to start up a project destined to connect to people using a direct approach.
@steemitacademy will be a place where all Venezuelans will be welcome with open arms and heart! The main issue we are facing in our society is the lack of education we are receiving, we are just listening to the mainstream media and we don't fully take advantage of all the informational tools we have at hand! In this era of information we're still delayed and hence it's imperative to teach people and open their minds in order to show them how diverse the world can be and how projects like Steemit can help most people in need; It's not about giving away, it's about teaching people how to get the fish.

That is the main premise @steemitacademy will be working on! Endless Education!
Steemit Academy Goals
- To Promote Steemit by Getting in New Venezuelan Users to Steemit
- To Teach Venezuelan's Minnows about the Steemit Plattform.
- To incentivate each Venezuelan to show their craft on Steemit.
- To make future Dolphins
- To Teach those new Dolphins about power delegation and how important teamwork is.
- To delegate and unite our power to @steemitacademy in order to fund our own projects and to help communities by doing charity, improving our infrastructure, creating our own working zones, etc..
- To incentivate Venezuelan's Steemians to teach what they know, and use @steemitacademy to cover the expenses, creating more jobs.
- To educate people about crypto and economics.
- To create a culture where we can use Steem or SBD as a way of payment, and even for saving.
Among others...
It is important to remark each goal and how fulfilling them might help us to grow as a society; Steemit, well used can be a life changer - We are the living proof- Right now we currently have approximately around 6500 Venezuelan Steemit Accounts.

As you can see, the graphic shows a big increase of newcomers in January; I expect a big increase of Venezuelan users on the upcoming months. Due the big crisis we're facing, steemit perfectly fits as an alternative.
Steemit is not that hard to sell in here, most likely because you see immediate results, you see 1 Sbd (3.00 usd) is almost a month of salary; 3 of my upvotes at 100% might make the difference and give a person 1 month of salary! That's why I'm constantly powering up and not self-voting.
So, What do we have to do after recruiting or finding these new steemians? We need to teach them, we need to tell them how to properly use the plattform, most people get lost when they get in and without proper guidance most of them get frustrated and quit, or opt by doing other stuff like trying to trick the site. We need to create a Steemit conscience where we can enlight people to correctly use the site and to show them how working in good faith and with enthusiasm, things can perfectly work out.
After that process we need to help them to estimulate their own craft by getting them to post about the things they know, using proper tags in order to get clean upvotes. To teach them how Engaging with communities can be a very effective way to get quality followers; How good and quality comments can make a difference, help you gain followers and even some nice upvotes.
All of this in order to make them Dolphins. If Three 0.35$ Upvotes can give a Venezuelan a Month of salary, imagine what a difference could make Twenty 0.35 Upvotes for example, do you all realize how of a game changer Steemit can be, well used? Now if we teach our New Dolphins how the power delegation System works and we incentivate them to delegate some to @steemitacademy, then we probably can dream bigger, because by creating our own whale, organically, we would be opening a door with infinite positive outcomes; Giving us the chance to fund our own projects, do charity, and generating income and future jobs.
Imagine this situation for Example: I know how to Speak and teach English. I could prepare live lessons to people in @steemitacademy, I could use the academy for those purposes, Record my class or take pictures and make a post which it'll be curated by @steemitacademy that way I'm helping the community by teaching "for free"and the academy cover the expenses with just a single upvote; wouldn't that be just awesome? Look at the whole picture, people educating worldwide, having a well paid job doing what you love and helping the community at the same time, like I said steemit, properly used might be a world changer.
The growing of steemit is our responsibility, we have a duty and we are on a mission which is to spread the world the best we're able but not only that, we need to guide new Steemians after they get in, that is the most important task because Steemit is not so difficult to sell yet hard to understand for many.
In order to Achieve these goals, I'll need funding, I've received some donations for the Charity work I've been doing -https://steemit.com/dtube/@jonsnow1983/5uwep6qg- and pretty soon will be introducing in a formaler way the @steemitacademy project in order to get donations and delegations so we can achieve our goals.
Best Regards Bro! Cheers!
this academy project is very good
It is great to see the steemitacademy starting to take form bro! I support this 100% and as I already told you a few weeks before, let me know how can I help and participate in this!.
Wish you the greatest of success!
Fantastic initiative you there @jonsnow1983, I wish you a lot of success with your project. I stay in Uruguay and have met a few people from Venezuela and heard the horror stories, its really bad. So nice that you are teaching and educating people on how to help themselves! blessings and all the best.
Education is the key, totally in agreement with you, I just wait for you to tell me when we begin.
Interesting this project, I will follow you to be aware of this initiative.
Kind regards...
I fully support @jonsnow and this project!
Excelente iniciativa de verdad.
Éxito amigo con esa academia cuentas con mi apoyo
This is very interesting, @jonsnow1983, and I appreciate the work you're putting in to it. One of the first things I noticed when I introduced myself on here and started to see the other introduction posts was the disproportionate number of Venezuelas who have been joining up. I hope Steemit is able to give them a liberating platform to help turn around the problems facing the country right now!
Hey bro! Good to see you here too :). I know you have been working hard on your project lately! I hope you will make this come true!
