The STEEM Value Has Nearly Been Cut In Half!

So in a shocking development (at least to me as I'm not great at predicting floors), STEEM has floored around $1.68 following its rally up to $2.80 just last week! It has now started creeping up towards $1.80.

While this worries a lot of newbies, I'm rather excited about this correction. It fell further than I had expected, as with most of the cryptomarket, mainly Bitcoin and Ethereum, but this seems to point to a rather huge future rally as masses of people buy up these cryptos.

In my personal opinion, this is a groundbreaking time to get in. Have I lost thousands in the past few days? Yes. Could it be worse? Yes. Should we get more used to these corrections? Absolutely!

However, this is just another sign of people flooding into this market in massive numbers. Remember, the market cap went from $18 billion for all cryptos in January to $115 billion a few days ago, now dropping to about $96 billion.

Now, I believe Steemit is doing some maintenance right now as the BUY button has disappeared from the wallet which is kind of ridiculous in my opinion. It's the perfect time to buy and I have to jump through hoops and get different accounts on different sites to put money in my wallet. Not to mention I can't find my wallet address anywhere because it came with the function so I can't even use the other websites. Hopefully this maintenance is done immediately because a lot of us are missing out on buying in on the floor.

Anyways, this is the future of social media and I can't be more excited for the road in front of us! Decentralization for the win! :)

I also think It's good and expect a decent rebound in a few days at the latest.

Definitely at the latest, it seems the trajectory is starting to look upwards! :)

Sorry guys, its my fault, I must have broken it with my awesomeness.

Yup, that must be it. lol

I just picked myself up some STEEM. It'll rebound and jump much higher than $2.80 :)!

Where did you get it from? An alternate wallet? A certain exchange? I'm trying to get around this glitch in the Steemit wallet. :P

Lol, what's the glitch in the steem wallet? I just purchased off steemit from blocktrade.us

There's usually a button in the wallet that you click and it shows a QR code you can scan with your bitcoin and send money to your wallet in seconds.
It's now gone and you have to go on blocktrades, but my wallet address was also there when I pulled up the QR so I have no address to send the money to.

All I did was send BTC to blocktrade. I put in my steem username and that was it.

I tried that and they said my account didn't exist. lol

Strange. I don't know what to tell you. Try another exchange like bittrex.

Just use Poloniex, Bittrex or something and let the STEEM sit there until the bug is fixed

Just got Poloniex and sent BTC to the wallet. Nothing has arrived and there's not even a history of any transaction on my account but my other BTC wallet shows I sent it.
This stuff is so frustrating. lol

Chill, it takes time ;)

Every time a crypto drops a bit, all the chicken littles come out & say the usual...if it's one thing I've learned in my short time in crypto...just like stocks currencies rise & fall, it's called the normal cycles of the markets.

It did rebound back right? I heard yesterday it did go up to above $2 again.

New users means a lot more activity and possible more exchanges.

p.s free $20 of Dash promo continues on #FirstDashWallet on twitter. They didn't think it be that popular so they extended it.

Thank you for sharing, very interesting!

Steem soon up :)

I'm hoping for updates. It's good to see positive direction to make this new platform even better for future use.

It's just a wave so ride it out!!

I have no idea what you all are talking about - I know nothing about crypto currencies or even how to work with them - is there a tutorial out there for us not so crypto savvy people?

nice. In it for the long hall anyways. If steem went to 0 I still don't think so would say so wasted my time. Learned a lot!
