RE: Can we get Steem listed on Coinbase? Our odds may have just gotten better...

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

Start asking why other things have been or are being added to coinbase. Is it because of insider connections? Should we invite coinbase management to join steem?

Is steem's community actually smaller than other cryptos? I don't think so. What do we need to do here to make steem more attractive?

Well that was kind of the point of my post really, it looks like for the first time ever Coinbase is at least partly listening to what their customers ask for. If enough steemians request steem I would think it would at least move up the list.

Yes, my question was... in addition to customer demand, are there any specific attributes that they are looking for in added cryptos? Your point is a strong one, and a clear necessary path, but what else can we do? In addition.

I have put in a support ticket asking about it. At least that makes my desire known. I am a customer of coinbase, and have been a frequent user for the past 4-5 years, so hopefully they value my opinion at least a little...(probably not).

Nice, thank you for doing that. I have done the same and also been a frequent user/customer of theirs.

In the past they seemed to want to make sure the coin/token was not a security before they added it. Steem didn't have an ICO was a plus in terms of being labeled a security, however, some other aspects may make it one.

So possibly getting some clarity in that regard would go a long ways?
