Hello steemian friend how are you all? I want to share my side business experience enlargement of catfish that I run at home.
As an employee at a restaurant I also have a side business of raising catfish in tarpaulin ponds to supplement my family's income. To start raising catfish the first thing to do is to make a pond here I use a pond from tarpaulin because the cost is cheap.
For the second one, buying catfish seeds for selecting catfish seeds, you must be observant to choose them because they are the main factor supporting the success of catfishes.
to choose good catfish seeds its characteristics are:
- its movements are agile (active)
- the colors are bright black and shiny
- not huddle and like to swim to and fro
After selecting the seeds I started to put the seeds in the pond that I had filled with water and deposited for 5 days but not fed first so that the fish adapt to the new pond.After 1 day of new catfish seedlings I love to feed and see the appetite for catfish seedlings I am very happy, I feed catfish pellets 2 times 1 day that is before leaving for work at 8:00 and after work at 18.00
Not feel it has been 3 months for me to harvest catfish, my tiredness is gone because I saw a lot of big catfish and soon I contacted a catfish agent to sell it and I was happy to get additional income from my business.
