Can STEEM be used for remittances?
BCTransfers started using SBD for remittances to Brazil, according to their blog.

This is the map of worldwide remittances, according to the World Bank. Formal remittances account for 600 billion dollars per year. Some people estimate formal + informal remittances total more than a trillion dollars.
If STEEM and SBD can take a small share of it, even a tiny share, it would still be a lot!

True. Steem may not only connect people but also connect them economically at a very low cost and easy way. I see network effects ramping up here.
