My Top 3 Favorite Steem Tools | Comment Your Favorite, and Win SBI Shares!

in #steem6 years ago

What's up, world?

Just wanted to stop in to share some of my favorite Steem tools with you all, and give you a chance to curate your favorites in the comment section and win SBI shares! I've been here for a few months now, and I'm finally beginning to learn about the capabilities of different apps and tools. When I first started posting here through Steemit, although it was exciting, I found the interface to be overly simple and, ultimately, unhelpful. I thought this post might help out some of my newer Steem comrades to understand and navigate the Steem world better. Also, I want to keep it going in the comments, so we can create a useful list of Steem tools for all! To incentivize this, three lucky winners will each get two shares of Steem Basic Income. For more info, see bottom of page.

1. Custom Feed

I've stated on a few posts that one of the issues with Steemit is that there is no filter system for your feed or pages, which makes it impossible to sort through the mess of content that shows up here. @jga created this awesome tool to make your feed show what you want. There's lots of options for filters: Reputation, Payout, Body / Comments, and more. You can choose to sort through Trending or your Feed. Additionally, you can use any Steem explorer you want! (Steemit, Busy.org, etc.)

2. Spectacles for Steemit

I just found this website by @pilcrow and @sjennon the other day, and it's a seriously sweet little tool. It will give you lots of stats that I haven't been able to see anywhere else - Most Loyal / Influential Followers, # of Ghost Followers / Dead Followers, and Recent / Top Upvoters. I would definitely recommend that you take a look to see how many people are actually following you vs. how many followers are dead accounts. Warning: the truth hurts.

3. SteemWorld

You might already know about this one, as it's pretty popular, but I wanted to give it a shoutout anyways. Built by @steemchiller, SteemWorld has many uses. My favorites are the ability see your Coming Author / Curation rewards and Delegate / Undelegate Steem Power super easily. Outside of these details, this site is basically a prettier and more intuitive version of Steemd.com.

Alright, now for the fun part!

I've been thinking about doing a Steem Basic Income giveaway for awhile now, and I'm excited to give it a go. Entry has never been easier - just leave a comment with your favorite Steem tool(s) for a chance to win not one but two SBI shares!

What is Steem Basic Income?

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

How will I be deciding winners?

Priority will be given to those that submit awesome tools that aren't in my list. At the time of this post's payout, I'll assign a number to each valid comment and use Random.org (random number generator) to pick three Steemians to award the SBI shares to. Note: If I check your profile and you are a decidedly douchey Steemian (spammer, leech) who is unfit to be graced by the love of Steem Basic Income, you will not be awarded your shares and someone else will get nominated. I highly doubt this will be an issue :)

Good Luck, Steem On, and I'll see you in the comments!

Am a fan of steem.supply and eh, have you heard of dlike.io ? Have you checked the new esteem app update too ? Very cool stuff coming out by the day.

I've heard of dlike.io, but never really took the time to check it out! Will make sure to do so. I also just got a new phone (old one was unusable), so I was planning on downloading both esteem and partiko and seeing which I like better. Thanks for your comment, you're entered!

Steem world is what use the most.

Thanks so much!

Yeah, SteemWorld is pretty bomb. I love being able to check who recently followed and my recent mentions.

Upvote calculator, I use this. It'll help to calculate the exact value of one's vote in terms of steemit, steempower and steemit dollar.

Wow!! Thank you for your kindness gentleman! I don't have words to express how happy I am today.

Keep on reaching the peak of success.

Thanks..

It’s my pleasure, @saun! Cheers!

Interesting, could you link me? You're entered regardless!

Gentleman here it is:

https://www.steemnow.com/upvotecalc.html.

Hope this is what you are looking for!

Right on, cheers!

Cool post, the ones I use are as follows

www.busy.org, not sure this counts as a tool, but I find it much nicer to use than steemit or esteem

www.steemworld.org, is my go to place to see my steem voting power and a quick glance on rewards. It's also a great summary of interactions on the blockchain. I know you already mentioned it, but I thought it deserved another shout

@ginabot is great if you use discord and want notifications instantly

www.steem.supply is great for seeing upcoming rewards... Assuming the beast of STEEM doesn't come and flag you before they are paid out 😂

Will be interesting to see what others are using and recommend!

@kabir88

Thanks for your comment @kabir88, I'll be checking out @ginabot to better understand the service! If you like Busy.org, I would highly recommend taking a look at SteemPeak.com - both are great Steem explorers but I find SteemPeak.com to be prettier and more helpful. You're entered!

I really love @ginabot. I'm not here for SBI shares though. Just wanted to say it because she deserves all the praise she can get :D

Right on, I'm on my way to investigate @ginabot's service. Thanks for your comment!

Steem.supply is one I use often. Gives a rundown of when all of your payouts are due for posts and comments. It also tells you how much your payouts and account is worth in $USD.

Very handy tool!

Thanks for your comment @conradt, you're entered!

Bookmarked this post because I will be coming back to it to see all of the useful tools. I hope everyone else will bookmark it as well. I haven't heard of any of the tools that you mentioned but I will definitely be checking them out. The only tool that I really use is http://steem.supply. I have used steem.d but not much since I found steem.supply. I think most of the other things that I have used would be considered Bots rather than tools so I won't post them here. As much as I would like to because most of them have referral links. I'm not going to do that.

Thanks for your comment, @big.ock! I had heard of Steem.Supply before (I've been following @dragosroua for most of my time here) but never actually put my name in. Pretty sweet little site, lots of details I like such as 'comments per day' average and 'top performing tags'... Thanks for your restraint btw x) Hopefully your bookmark will be worth it haha!

Sorry, SteemNow is a perfectly safe tool, but I don't know about that second link, and I got the warning message from @arcange & that link looks a little sketchy, so I'm not clicking that shit and don't think anyone else should

aa ok . Well I found it here:
http://steemtools.com/
So I thought that all the tools in this list should be fine to use.

YO! I am so sorry man, I saw the message from @arcange and got spooked, but then I read @unipsycho's announcement post and it would seem that https://autosteem.learnthis.ca is totally safe, it just triggers phishing detection because of its URL... I'm sorry man, I feel like an asshole XD You are certainly entered in my lil SBI giveaway :)

No problem :) It's fine :)
Also good to know that what it's not bad to use those tools :D

Right on, yeah looks like you're fine lol :) My bad!

Warning removed

LOL! You can't, like, fix this or anything, can you @arcange? x)

Nobody click these, please... sigh

Why? I`m relatively new to steemit so if there is an issue with them, do let me know :)

I also love Steem World as my favorite but recently ran into steemdb which is also pretty good to get data both organized and raw if you are into that. For example, I was finally able to get a breakout to divide my earnings by rewards vs curation.

Cool stuff, thanks for your comment! SteemDB is pretty cool, it's fun to watch the blocks get built in (fairly) real time, haha! Also, the power up / power down stats are pretty interesting.

the perfect post

Gee, thanks!
