I experienced grey screen death... but then I fixed it! I realized when you save the JPEG you shouldn't have anything strange... like spaces or odd characters. I had "Don't" in my JPEG name and it turned it grey. When I took out the " ' " in "don't" the grey screen of death went away. Anyways hope that helps! :)
