SBD price is still going up, but why?

At the time of writing this SBD, price is $13 but less than 10 hours ago it went over $16. That's exactly 16 times more than I thought SBD would ever be. I'm still relatively new to steem, and when I signed up, a couple of months ago, I thought that SBD would always be at a similar value to the US dollar. In the FAQ of steemit under the question "Will 1 Steem Dollar always be worth 1.00 USD?" It says "the network's conversion feature serves as a mechanism to hold Steem Dollars within a small margin of the value of USD" . So I'm not sure why SBD is worth so much more than what it was designed to be, obviously I'm not complaining about it, I just want to understand the reason for it. So if you know the answer to the following questions please answer them in the comments section, it would be greatly appreciated, my questions are:

Why is SBD worth so much more than $1.00?

Will it go back to $1.00?

If it will go back to $1.00, when should I sell?

How much higher can it go?

How does this affect payouts on a post, if a post has author payout of $1.00, will it still be split as 0.50 SBD and 0.50 steem power?

Thanks for your help!

If you're as lost as me, resteem this post to help find the answers.

I can answer your last question. Steem is $2.85 right now, so a $1 post 50/50 will net you 0.50/2.85 = 0.18 SP and 0.50 SBD minus the curator rewards, which is about 25%.

Now you're asking, "That's like $5 worth of SBD?"

Yup :)

Thank you! That really clears things up, because I was looking at my recent rewards and was wondering why the SP was less than what I thought it would be

Right, the pay out indicator is in USD, and since Steem or SP is near 3 USD a one dollar post is .33 SP minus the curation. You're not being shafted though, the voting weights have just increased.

And of course you win if you select 50/50 payout. :)

thank you for this clue :D

These are some questions I asking myself xD Startet for a few days and thought it would be simmiliar with a dollar but how wrong I was ^^ maybe we get an answer of this question ^^

I'm so clueless, but I'm so happy xD

Wow.. 1SBD aiming at 20USD soon
