I read a great post today by @kevinwong which really put things in perspective. It’s a great post written in plain english which really helped me understand the potential and future of Steem.

For those of you out there who aren’t all that literate in all of those long fancy crypto currency words and want a simple explanation about the future possibilities of Steem then this is a must read for you. Here’s the link to the post by @kevinwong

Here is a comment I made on his post

Very interesting and informative post Kevin. One of the best I’ve seen on the subject as the explanation behind the graphs say it all really and with Brisbane international airport setting up the infrastructure to use Steem to buy things at the airport it seems the end of the hockey stick is inching closer. A company was set up by some very clever people to sell the idea and infrastructure to Brisbane airport so I’m sure they have other airports in their crosshairs. Not just in Australia but worldwide and I’m sure other airports will be keeping an eye on it to see how it goes. If it starts taking off at that airport then I’m sure others will come on board and it will provide the impetus for more people to join Steemit and we will see the value of Steem grow. A great post sir and I’ll definitely be upvoting this one and following your account for more great insights of Steem. Thanks for the great commentary!

I'm certainly excited about it. Steem and EOS are set to be game changers in the crypto world I think. As a quick note, thank you so much for your continued support of The Steemit Newbie Resteem Initiative. It is appreciated.

Thanks @mudcat36 I intend on showing my support for the foreseeable future

Thanks for the link through to Kevin's blog I enjoyed that as well. I like how he compared the accumulation of SP to a mining rig as the daily curations will add up over time. I also can't wait for main-stream adoption of Steem so we can spend our SBDs at airport restaurants.

How long before we have a switch over to multiple vendors taking crypto-currencies?

I read something the other day about a company that has set up a system for retailers to accept cryptocurrencies including steem. Apparently it’s seamless for the retailer to set up and use and no fees for the retailer like credit card companies charge. They can also give out digital receipts and it’s very easy for them to use. It’s already being used at many places I hear. I just can’t for the life of me remember what it was called but it had the word “pay” in its name. So it won’t be long at all until it’s common practice I believe

Actually I just found the information about it. It’s very interesting. Here’s a link to a post about it.
