Instead of scolding someone and telling them to read the white paper, why not explain it? I think it's likely because many of you don't understand it yourself. Your content gets upvotes, the payout rises, but is not secure. A flag, or downvote, can change the value, and, users have the right and ability to remove their vote, causing the value to drop. In addition, your final reward (the steem value remaining when payout arrives) is paid in two parts. Half of it goes to SMD or steem dollars, which can be converted to cash. Half of it goes to SP, or steem power, a long term investment in the steemit platform that can only be taken out over 2 years, in equal weekly payments.
