Nice article, although I find the comparison improper. Facebook and Steemit from what I understand have a very different approach to content creation. Facebook, except for some countries, is mainly dedicated to content creation from a connected group of people to itself.

The communities on FB exist before the content and the latter is consequent to it.

On steemit the communities rise around content, approach more similar to Reddit Inwould say.

In general I think block chain based platforms like Steemit will open so many new frontiers, like the WWW did, that current players, big or small, will simply have to reinvest their capitals in the new business models that are rising or fold.
