After reading most of the discussion and your post I came up with a radical Idea. Maybe we could develop a filter to install as a patch for the apps and as an addon for the browsers that identifies self promoted content or other means for increasing a post presence beyond its "natural esteem" so that using bots or buying votes destroys
the human reach of a post
