So, what advice would you give to somebody that's new to Steemit or crypto's and the next big storm hits?
My Best Advice is Buy when there's Blood in the Streets! Example when Steemit was getting beat down I bought more. Now that its heading back up I just Hold! Buy on the way down and Hold/sell on the way up. I believe in Steemit so it's Strictly Buy and Hold for me! Thanks for stopping by and Steem On Brother...
Yes, I agree steem is on it's way up and the road is open.
but
steemit site has to be upgraded and become a bit more user friendly.
The streem learning curve is a bit hard and long - it takes time to get familiar with the site.
There is a lot of redundancy and settings and views that are a bit here and there - it would be nice to concentrate all in one setting GUI instead of going to multiple addresses to see various statuses

Yea, it is a hard for people who aren't that tech savvy. I think easier ways must be created for this platform to go mainstream. The learning curve is quite steep.
To be honest I'm not the most tech savvy guy around. It's taken me about a month to get somewhat comfortable on here. I can do some things but have ways to go. I just think if you can figure out FB and Twitter then you can figure out Steemit with a little Patience!
also ...another point is a phone app would be required.
there is eSteem in Apple store but it is as third party app and it is really not nice
...so yes - a steemit app would be appreciated and would end the use of steem

Agreed! This is the new and better way to blog. Hands down. Steemit kills fb and Twitter. We will continue to grow. Don't end up like this guy, still outside and not hip to the cool games going on indoors.

Nice post and I agree with what you're saying. I think the big strength with steemit, aside from its brilliant design, is the strong, positive steemit community here. That part alone is what really gives me faith in the future of steemit. At the end of the day, it always seems to come down to the people and there's really no substitute for that.
