Anyone have any insights into when SBD will be transferable in and out of Poloniex? They've had the below message up for a while, and I was wondering if it is being worked on from both sides.
"SBD is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the SBD team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling."
Personally I wouldn't transfer anything into Poloniex.
The problem there is that it is 1 of only 2 exchanges that allows for SBD trading and it has twice the volume of the other, Bittrex. So it's difficult to avoid. Other than this issue, Poloniex has worked fine for me. I am looking forward to some of the new exchanges in the pipe. I saw one that actually pays the "maker" a transaction fee as opposed to charging them (and just charges the "taker").
You could exchange it for another currency and send it to a different exchange to turn it back into SBD. Sucks but it may be the only way. Its been quite a while since they put that message up.
You effectively lose the arbitrage opportunity at that point, because you have to sell the SBD on the exchange you bought it on (which is really why I care, although I realize the original post didn't mention that).
