Yes - there is no reason steemd wouldn't build for it (once you have installed all the correct versions of boost etc) however, it's probably going to be too slow to get much of a hashrate, but that is a different matter I guess - it would be good just as a proof of concept.

Can steem be mined with other clients? It would be awesome to hook up a gridseed miner to the pi. 15000khs
