As you probably know, the price of the SBD is incredibly high right now, 7.30$ usd at the time of this writing. I've never seen it that big!
This is amazing, and you know what this means? Everyone's vote, including yours is now 3.5 times more powerful. Why? Because the Steem Dollars you give are worth about seven times as much.
Is your vote worth one SB dollar right now? Well then you are granting about 3.5 US dollars to people's posts! Congrats! You are a whale, we are all whales.

Don't get that math. 50/50 rewards means only half of your payout is SBD. I believe the Steem price is already calculated in your vote, so doesn't that make it more like ~3.5x worth as much?

Its a sweet time to be receiving payouts especially in SBD, as your payouts are worth significantly more in USD value than the actual payments... some of these whales can really put a smile on someone face this christmas, the timing is really great, people like @thejohalfiles and @ned could be santa on the Steemit blockchain

this explains why poloneix exchange was in a frenzy yesterday, it took long to with draw most people were withdrawing to cash in on the rise, i will hold on to my SBD for now and see where it goes from here

Still waiting for my verification on Bittrex. Stupid "name mismatch" BS. Otherwise, I would probably have tried to get myself some sweet SBD from you. In an attempt to save both Christmas and New Years Eve without all the fuss and hassle. - Would've been so nice to be at peace!
Anyhow, it's obviously amazing to see all these spikes and this increased value of both Steem and SBD. I actually managed to make a 2x and 3x profit by selling a handful of SBD the other day. That was an amazing feeling. The first ever trade I did for profit! - Would've been way cooler to do the trade now though.
On a side note, do you think we will see less upvotes due to all of this? - Just to not make everyone a millionaire basically. :D

I'm not clear on why SBD is so high and Steem is not matching or close. And I thought the vote strength came from Steem Power? And in the long run Steem is the real value? That's been my understanding so I've been scraping any SBD's I get and buying Steem.
Oh well, at any rate both are up and that is good!
Hey @neoxian it is now $13, according to steemdollar.com. It is really unexpected result.
@neoxian looks like the price keeps going up so that makes it even more.... would be cool if they showed the trade value next to the rewards pay so we could each put it in the currency we are use to comparing it to. I am always curious how many satoshi the steem is worth. It would be cool to check it against other coins held. I am sure someone must be working on an idea like this.
