I feel like the Steem blockchain is to complicated for average non tech people. There are so many interfaces to read these posts on. And all the dapps and stuff makes it more complicated. It's probably one of the reasons why this blockchain never took off and is underperforming so badly right now. It's bad because this was not a bad idea.

This ain't Steem for one. The idea was to have a blockchain backend with multiple popular front ends, so Hive is finally realizing the original idea.
"This ain't Steem for one." Oh i didn't know this was a separate blockchain, i thought it was build on the Steem blockchain....
It's the continuation of the original chain. The Steem network was attacked with sockpuppet witnesses in a hostile takeover by a thief. Hive was born from that.
