RE: A Heads Up, Your Posts Are Worth More Than You Think They Are

in #steem7 years ago

I make dance clips and I used to upload daily my danceclips...grrr...they never reached more than 40 SBD. my photos make at most 5sbd...but I lost some inspiration as I felt also no one read my stories and thoughts that I so carefully chose and wrote into beautiful posts. I guess I am still a minnow for a while...unless I can get some steem power delegated to me. but I wish I had so much time to spend here like others do...I start filming again on Monday so I will be offline mostly then.
Where is your island?

Hi @nomvula,
I have started on steemit around 23 days ago. I think the value of a post does not really depend on the quality of the content. There are very few posts that make more than 50 $ without "some help". Even if you have tons of followers and nice interaction, it will be difficult to reach trending posts without investing in bid-bots.
The way I could see how it works on steemit, I think that it is a exponential curve that we follow. The higher our steem power gets, the more we can make with our posts or with our votes and the quicker our steem power fills up. I believe that you will soon earn more and more (at least I hope so for you;-) ).

It is based on SP, so yeah bots or being upvoted with someone with high SP is how you make a lot.

thank u for the words of advice...yes...bidbots...those things...I been there and yes I use them, but that alone is a full time thing. that is also the only way I have made some money. any tips on some good bidbots at the moment?

I am living on Saint Croix US Virgin Islands right now and loving every second. Trying to spend as much of my free time in the water and exploring as possible, the more I do the more I was encouraged to try out blogging here on Steemit. I just started about 2 weeks ago and am trying to learn the ins and outs as I go. This island has a lot of character especially post hurricanes that I want to share with our steemit community. The recovery has been something to behold. So really now from what I’ve been reading from other bloggers who have had some major success on here is that I need to find my “niche”, like you have your dancing but I also struggle to find the time to write out the quality content I want as well as edit and post the quality photos I would like to share. It’s been a slow start but doing my best to keep up with it and not lose confidence, your post helped remind me that I’m not the only one out here having a tough time getting going!

you know I used to post everyday, but I could not uphold it...now I post 2 to 3 times a week and I actuaaly use it like my blogsite...it still is better than a blog where one does not get paid for content.

and your island sounds so beautiful! I am sure you know of permaculture?
