RE: @dmania is BAD FOR STEEM - rewarding plagiarizers and thieves!

in #steem7 years ago

I created original content for Dmania and reached decent engagement but never managed to get any support

At the same time stolen memes were in trending, so I got demotivated

I can understand that, I did get a dmania vote a couple of times, but it's hard to get a grip on why and how. This is very often the case, also in normal posts, sometimes the rewards on a post are extremely high when I don't expect it. And sometimes, when I feel like, yeah, this post is really something awesome, it gets next to nothing.

Such is the way of Steem, I think.

Note: what really helps on dmania, is following the FAQ rules. If you do not meet the exact criteria / requirements for a dmania upvote you will never get one. That's something I personally learned the hard way.

Good luck!

That is normal and happens on every social media platform, if you think you did an awesome job the ppl are like "meh it's ok" if you just did it for fun and didn't invest that much effort it will rise like a star xD

That. Exactly that.

Some people quit rather than try harder. It's a choice.

I never quit! Unless I find something better! :3

I spent a long time getting but cents for my posts until I found a way to make it slightly more profitable. My mindset was more "if you ain't got it yet, you haven't worked enough to take it", and it still is to a lesser extent, since now I'm researching and changing strategies a lot.

can be cheated with upvote bots I guess.

Agreed, then I moved over to DecentMemes.

"truce"

Truce indeed, truce.

DSound. DTube. DMania. DShit. DThat. They are all the same. Someone I know released a very brilliant single that was exclusive to Steem through DSound, and cross posted the studio session video on DTube. This release was to stay away from other mainstream CDS's for at least a week so it can hold true to being exclusive to Steem. Neither of these services voted for this promising artiste who expressed so much faith in the platforms and had a brilliant material. Mind you material was fantastic. Then the DSound post received a Curie vote and trended the DSound tag for a good 3 days or so I was checking. They still didn't see it. Seven days afterwards, posts pays out and the frigging services take their fee.

I felt that the artist was robbed by some corrupt folks facilitated by Steemit. It's messy, mehn. Everyday my hope for this platform dwindles. If we have another highs in the near future, I may have to sell off reasonably.
