Fellow Nigerians,
I know it feels alien, to imagine a life better than what currently exists. I know it's hard to picture Nigeria as a place of security, with adequate electricity, good roads and other amenities. But we deserve all these things. We were not made to suffer.
The average Nigerian has suffering embedded in his/her genes. It's true!. We get paranoid when we receive electricity for more than 20hours a day. We get skeptical when we see the roads on our streets get repaired all of a sudden. We are used to hearing on the Telly and radio how large amounts of money are being embezzled from our country's coffers everyday. Infact, we enjoy hearing it.
Our education sector is dying on its 7% of the annual budget, ASUU strike is now a recurrent holiday for university students. Our doctors are leaving the country for "greener pastures" leaving behind a porous health sector. Lives and properties are being lost to local herdsmen in the Northern part of the country. Most of our jobless youths, our leaders of tomorrow have become money ritualists and Yahoo boys.
Nigerians, we were not made to suffer. This nightmare does not have to be our reality. Why should we be the ones to pay for the sins of our unjust leaders?
The elections are here again and as Kunle Adebajo once succinctly wrote, our relationship with our politicians is not a catholic marriage vow with the status quo, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, from the inauguration day forward until death do us part. But rather we have a landlord-tenant arrangement — and no, the landlords are not the politicians.
We are the landlords. We have the ultimate power to choose who we hand over the destiny, lives and well-being of ourselves, family, friends and generations to come to. Because at the end of the day, our leaders don't suffer the consequences of bad governance, we do.
So my dear Nigerians, tomorrow at the polls, this time put yourself first. Choose your leaders with a clear conscience and a firm resolve. Vote Wisely!

Good luck to yiu in Nigeria. You and your people deserve the besr, as we all do. I have 20 Naira that I will treasure forever. It was given to me by my neighbor, who is from Nigeria. He is a great guy. I have not seen him for a while. I hope he is well.
