Riiiiiight, so what that number essentially represents is the number of times your post has been opened, this does NOT necessarily equate to the number of people who have actually physically read the post, at all. AT ALL. That's just the fact. You can try and cook up with some arbitrary equation where you speculate 60% or 80% of that number reflect actual readers but really it's just a bullshit # you have no way of ever confirming and would obviously change from post to post and in the end just be an arbitrary and useless mess, a bunch of worthless mental gymnastics to make yourself feel better.

Who doesn't, while scrolling through their feeds, click on posts/articles they never read? Personally I do it all the time. For whatever reason I pick whatever post I pick only to end up becoming disinterested or turned off by some element of it, or no element at all..just don't want to read it. Man 'I'll tell you though on the esteem app on iOS it happens ALL the time. Some..'buggy'..shit in the app makes it where just touch the screen trying to scroll will constantly open an article/post. Basically anywhere you touch on the screen 'clicks' whatever you happened by chance to touch. It makes the app UNUSABLE.

as far as I know, the page should be open for some amount of time to be counted as a read one, not sure how it works but I know some rules are behind the it. but you are right , it is not a completely accurate number

Why don't you find those rules and get back to me with them. I think I'll be waiting a while.
