Dan Larimer (ByteMaster) first coined the term Decentralized Autonomous Company

TheDAO is the largest crowding funding crypto project ever. However, the concept of a DAO is not unique, Decentralized Autonomous Company (DAC) was described in October 2013 by Daniel Larimer at a cryptocurrency in Atlanta. He described running a company completely on the blockchain. A month or so later, Protoshares was launched, which is the predecessor to BitShares, which came before Steem.

Our community needs to raise the awareness of our ideas and projects among the blockchain participants.

Ideas like these are floating in the collective subconscious. Making the ideas happen, and bringing them to reality is the merit.

It is not excluded that you made your post as a cheap attempt to gain a few bucks. Didn't work, I have no contempt. Since you mentioned theDAO you should share all profits with theDAO and Slock.it to be ethical

I can see why you would say that. The title is enticing on purpose. However, the point of the post is to make others aware of what exists within our community and its projects. If readers of this post say, 'I didn't know that', then I have raised their awareness about what we have to offer. Mission accomplished.

DigixDAO and TheDAO are two very different crypto assets. TheDAO is the largest crowdfunded project in history while DigixDAO is not. Both use the DAO idea.

Being paid for an idea like this is a bit hard, it's like asking to be paid for coining the term HTTP when it became popular years later. On top of this TheDAO is not controlled by a central authority so legal action right now is in a large grey area.

Thanks. I updated the post.

To be more accurate, "Decentralized" not "Digital.
