Hello Steemians! Today's post is going to be one to help out the people who are starting to use Steem but have not had any success making Steem or Steem Back Dollars on their posts. Today I will share some tips that have helped me make a bit of money on Steem and maybe it can help you too!
1. Content
I'm sorry for saying what everyone else has already said but in reality the content you post is what makes people click the the upvote button. Content is what drives most online monetization, the best content makes the most money. You don't need to have the perfect crazy content that you can clickbait each post but instead help people out! Helping other people on this platform is a great way to make friends and gain followers on this website. Any way you can make something that provides use to someone else, means you've created something successful! Providing news on certain subjects is also a great way to bring in new readers as people tend to click information on the latest news within the community.
2. Comment/Upvote
If you were not already aware, on Steem you can make money by commenting and upvoting other peoples posts! If you find an interesting post and believe it to be helpful content, make sure to upvote it and leave feedback on the post as both of those can lead to monetary gain! The best time to upvote someones post to receive the most curration rewards is between 15-30 minutes after the post was created. Do not spam your comments on peoples posts, actually pay attention and leave a form of feedback as that makes your comment become helpful which can bring in rewards.
3. Get Involved
To me this point is the most helpful because getting involved in more than just the default Steemit website is a great way to earn more Steem. Currently Steem has many apps running on the Steem blockchain. Some of these apps include DTube, DLive, DSound, SteemChat, and many more. Getting involved within these apps and the communities within is an amazing way to gain supporters and more upvotes on your post. Using the Steem apps will also make your time here way more enjoyable as you realize there is a whole lot more to this technology! I recommend checking some of these apps out and find something that you enjoy :)
4. Upvote Bots
This tip is definitely the most least understood out of all as there is negative criticism revolved with Upvote Bots. In my opinion these bots are far from harmless, they provide a way of promoting your content giving you monetary benefits and you support the bot creator by sending SBD or STEEM. If used correctly you can gain profit by sending a bot a certain amount of SBD with your post in the memo. In return the bot will upvote your post with a corresponding percentage based on the amount you sent and the amount others sent as well. These can boost your post upward in the trending and hot tab making these bots definitely worth it. With bots people do not understand its not all about the money, there comes promotion with the upvotes giving the bots worth in using.
5. Participate in Contests
This is also a very underrated tip when it comes to making SBD or STEEM. Going to the contest tab or just browsing Steemit for contests you can often come across many with very large prize amounts for first place. If maybe blogging isn't your thing but you can help another user out in a different way like in contests, you can make a lot of money. Often you can find a contest related to a skill that you have or you could even learn a new skill and participate in more. This way the way I first gained a bit of SBD :)
Thank You!
A big thank you to everyone upvoting and commenting on my last post as it hit a good spot on the hot tab for a while getting me more supporters which I am very grateful for :) Feel free to leave an upvote if you thought this post was helpful or could maybe help a new user out on Steemit! Thanks again for reading and have a great day.
I saw your post link on Reddit- very helpful. I'm still learning about the bots, and contests - things I wish I would've researched more earlier. Another thing I would recommend is: don't forget to explore and use different tags that aren't in the main list.
From posts in #food I found users using #foodphotography, #dailyfoodphotography, and other interesting tags. Each one you encounter you may find a niche that you can fill ,or new and interesting users that share your interests.
thats also a great tip! using tags is super important as wellv
I was summoned by @papaholdonez. I have done their bidding and now I will vanish...
A portion of the proceeds from your bid was used in support of youarehope and tarc.
