Since you are an author that has published on Amazon, I'd recommend being proactive and "verifying" if you haven't already done so. Since your photo is on Amazon you can take a photo holding a sign with the date. Or you can post to your facebook/twitter account that you can be found on Steemit. This usually gets a good response from the community since there has been cases of ID theft in the past.
Now that you've been around a bit, I'd do another #introduceyourself post with photos. The tag and photos will usually get more attention and maybe some followers.
I followed you because you are a truck driver and I like what I've read, which isn't much since I'm so busy. My dad was a truck driver, and I have my CDL and can still drive but never did much beyond driving busses.
