if you have the skills to make your own DB then you rock. there is no way I could even start to think about that. To much to do and never enough time is the story of my life lol.

@paulag Time is usually my problem, and I make use of more hours than most people. I just have too much work and other projects to take care of. The DB shouldn't be too bad It's relatively simple compared to the Healthcare DB's I typically work with. It's putting a front end on the DB so other's could access it that would be the hard part for me. I've been trying to figure out which API to use for the connector, steempy has some possibilities. Plus it would take a bit of an investment on my part, and I'm just not there yet. I'm actually looking at the Utopian stuff, trying to figure out how all of that works as well.

utopian is a really good place to start. i'm impresses with your line of thinking and your want to do more. As far as I know, steemit itself have some tutorials in their dev portal, but I dont know if it would help or if it is aimed more at SMTs
