The recent hoard on BTC due to the two hard forks coming up and the China ban that is wearing off has set a new all time high for Bitcoin around 5380 USD at this time. This is quite fast and hard, especially if you consider the fact that the first hard fork is only set for october 25th. So the rise is quite early. Nevertheless it's there.
Consequently, so called "altcoins" are dropping because most money flows into BTC and out of alts. Which had its effect on the Steem price, we are currently almost 40 % lower than 12 days ago. This drop is too hard, and is unfunded.
I say, now it is buying time for Steem, and time to Power Up, when the "altcoins" recover, so will Steem, and you will thank me if you bought!
