Lol i just thought about it while i was writing. Someone must've come up with the VCI already? If not, maybe a rudimentary calc is simply VCI = x / y, where:-

  • x = total voting power that's self-voted + reciprocated over z days (perhaps by a margin of 15% of 1:1 exchange).
  • y = total voting power cast over z days.

So yeah, there's no way VCI > 1.0 lol. Probably easy to do if can calc data for x right from the script in http://steemreports.com/votes-graph/ since it already shows the direction/magnitude of votes clearly. Dunno what's the time period used though.

Lol traf said thats basically the dishonest vote %. i'll just stick with VCI coz it just sounds cooler :p

Catchy abbreviations are important. DVP is somewhat closer to EIP, which worked well. I'm fine with both!
