RE: The first phase of the Steem FAQ and Wikee: Consolidation of Knowledge

in #steem8 years ago

@pierce-the-veil: In response to your inquiry @innuendo, i understand you position yet I believe you have misapprehended my intentions.

I do it for a number of reasons, number one because I CAN and specifically because no one else "sees" the importance of consistent tagging. Does not a pic, gif or blue tag catch your eye when scrolling through a myriad of comments?

Quite Simply, for stand out visibility, could care less if they click on it, just so long as they stop notice my comment and either reply with value or move on. Also because people scroll fast and are typically lazy when reading comments if they do not stand out.

While i don't share your displeasure of this "tagging" activity, I can certainly see how you have come to your position. You are entitled to your opinion of course.

If you were to dig a little deeper, it would be known that I have given a lot of time and thought into each of my comments. Although I am very active, it is not for the purpose of shamefully "spamming" posts.

Should i feel shamed or upset that i have chosen a consistent posting practice that has already proven itself to some degree? I am open to suggestions? This is after all a social media platform that commends originality?

Shame that such a simple "formatting" concern would preclude you from seeing the value of my efforts here on steemit.com

Best to You.

OK, I'm just giving you feedback. For me, the effect is quite opposite to your intentions: I do see your comments but I don't read them, as I feel I'm being manipulated.

To increase visibility you could use capital letters or even a bigger font. That way you'd achieve 100% visibility and 0% readability.
