If you are truly in crypto, you are asking yourself, what is going on with Bitcoin?
I mean there is nothing wrong with BTC or the blockchain, right ?
This is pure emotion at work. WEAK HANDS SELLING QUICK.
I received quite a few phone calls today from friends about BTC price, asking me what should I do.
The new comers expect BTC price to go one direction. They are all frightening. They want to sell so bad.
A lot of them purchased bitcoin to go look for pump and dump and realized the price falling everywhere.
If you have bitcoin and you are freaking out to sell, you are contributing to the sell off.
Should you hold ? This is a decision only you can decide.
Maybe you should exchange it and buy steem. Look at steem price now.
BITCOIN STILL HOLD 35% MARKETCAP
It did not make sense why bitcoin still carry one third of market on his back despite it free fall ?
It takes me a while and it is clear, All exchanges are done through bitcoin.
Bitcoin hold the trust factor.
Bitcoin is the first and true decentralized coin. No one truly know who is Satoshi Nakamoto.
Yes the fees are high, when all miners works together, the system still works.
So when bitcoin is falling apart, the whole crypto circle is falling as well.
One more thing, we value all altcoins in bitcoin or fiat currency.
Now there should be a huge marketing compaign to dethrone bitcoin. Someone has to pay for it.
I am still favor bitcoin to be around but not as the to go coin.
It is about time for some altcoins to take the command and lead its way independently of bitcoin
STEEM IS KICKING IT AT $4
Steem is the coin for the masses.
No fees between steemians. Faster transactions.
Mass adoption for steem is a lot easier than bitcoin.
While Bitcoin falls from $10,000 to $8,600+, steem dropped from $6+ to $4-.
There is a correlation but it is harder to swallow any loss in bitcoin than steem.
A lot of steem are hold in steem power assuring our use case tangible.
Lately it is unraveling to see how many new steemians coming on board.
Only steem, if you really exercise the power of brain, will change the way crypto should go.
The ecosystem has a long shelf life.
We are welcome to know that the plan for steem is viable for years to come.
Can't wait to see SMT and the easy sign up with the next hard fork
We are pleased with DTUBE for easy videos, putting YouTube to rest.
When you are on steemit or busy.org you have a different feeling to share with all steemians. You feel right at home.
SBD is dealing with the plunge as well.
When you pair with BTC, you seem to go bitcoin way. No strange feeling but this is reality.
It is clear to see the fate of most coins paired with bitcoin.
Steem has weathered the storm with more temperament.
If you do not have to sell your steem it is good time to power up, strengthening steem and able yourself to earn more steem.
I am glad to know starting Feb 1st, we are trading in BINANCE, open an account to mange your steem there and a bunch of other coins.
Unexpectedly February starts in a sour note but this is just 33 days of the year. I am pretty sure there will be a lot more better days ahead.
Keep on steemin'
Great one. So if I do not have to sell your steem, it is good time to power up, strengthening steem so I can earn more. Well thats true. I just hope everything will come back to normal asap. Thanks for this @pouchon
It is not looking good if you are holding btc.
At least steem is handling itself in a thread.
Let's hope for the best.

Sure, thank you
Indeed! I’m strengthening my steem as well!
Indeed, the price always decreases when we exchange it, but later it will rise again the price, which is important we are patient in facing this problem..
More knowledge more power.
Patience is a virtue.
Keep on steemin'
Thanks for suggestion
As the market matures I believe that we will get away from the dominance of BTC and each project will be valued accordingly to its true usuability .
That's will be the moment crypto is mainstream.
Keep on steemin'
One thing that makes bitcoin very significant is because it is the face of cryptocurrency. What I mean is most countries that are not yet versed in the cryptocurrency market are commonly using bitcoin as their entry point. Meaning, they have to buy bitcoin first before they can trade it to other cryptocurrencies. This is very evident especially to those small time traders and those who are still trying to learn cryptocurrencies.
It has a lasting value. BTC always will be the to go coin for certain aspect.

There’s definitely area of opportunity! I’m definitely holding in a lot of my coins and tokens. I’m taking this time to buy in the dips and continue to diversify my portfolio.

Thank you for this piece.
Isn't this free fall and volatile market for bitcoin a result of speculation?
Steem must learn from Bitcoin failures.
