What is the Curation reward how much of the Curation reward goes to the author versus the curators?
Rewards are allocated so that 50% of the payment goes to the author of the post / comment, and 50% to the curator.
50% going to the curator, the curator will receive less than 100% if the curator votes within the first 5 minutes. The 50% division received by the curator during the first 5 minutes is calculated linearly based on the moment the vote is cast.
If a publication is voted at the time of publication, 100% of the Curation reward will remain in the reward group.
In 1 minute, the curator receives 20%, and 80% remains in the rewards group.
At 2 minutes, the curator receives 40% and 60% remains in the rewards group.
After 3 minutes, the curator receives 60% and 40% remains in the rewards group.
At 4 minutes, the curator receives 80% and 20% remains in the rewards group.
If a publication is voted 5 minutes (or later) after publication, 100% of the curation reward goes to the curator.
You can earn Curation rewards by voting for both posts and comments!

Why don't my votes in favor affect the rewards of a post?
A user with more SP will have a greater influence on rewards than users with less SP. A vote of a user with a lot of SP can often have more effect than 100 votes of users with a small amount of SP.
Although your vote may not have an immediate effect, when added together with all other votes at the end of the payment period, it may still affect the payment. You can also have more users vote for the post, since they saw that you voted for it, so your votes can have an indirect effect on payment in this way.
What are the curation paths?
Some users decide to use third-party applications such as Streemian to cast votes automatically. Users can automatically vote for the same posts and comments as other users. Usually, they will configure this to follow the votes of users who are good for the curatorship. When a user has other users vote automatically for the same content as them, people who vote automatically after them are called their "curation path."
Is there any way to make my votes count for more?
Yes. The more Steem Power you have, the more influence your votes will have.
The platform does not require anyone to buy SP to participate, and there are many users who have earned a lot of Steem Power without spending any of their own money. You have the option to buy more Steem Power through your Steemit wallet.
Good article with well articulated explanations. Thanks!
