Secret of Voting power and vote weight -- Art 1

Hi Friends.
For past few month I am trying to figuring out how exactly the voting power works.
There is already a tool like https://www.steemnow.com/ to calculate the value of vote but I am interested in diving deeper.

So basically after going through so many articles here in steem, I understood that to generate 1 steem by voting you require 17000 steem power. (that makes you independent of all confusing Dollar notation and daily price fluctuation of steem).

I will share more findings and more details later. Please follow ,upvote and resteem if you liked it.
