Many have been hating on both the whales and their bots.A lot of people have been expressing discontent with the ways rewards are distributed, and out of that discontent have been attempting to knock down the people who have made this platform possible and the whales as well.
We have come across many whale bots that own a ton of steem power, which takes a donation for valuable upvotes. Lets take an example of the popular @randowhale. The bot take a donation of 1-2 SBD with a memo to the link of the post, and votes on the post, irrespective of the quality of the content.
Many people, writing worthless posts, send 1 SBD to randowhale, and gets a good ROI for the post, jut to earn money out of that. But is is feasible in the long run for the steem community?
My answer will be definitely a big 'No!'
These bots wont vote on the quality of the post. And they keep on taking 1 Steem dollars for every vote.
This is quite an unfair system, where anyone having more money can earn more by simply 'buying' votes.
Votes were meant to be earned and not bought like this. Of course I do agree on the concept of resteem bots, which lets users reach a larger audience with a small fees. These upvote bots will be harming the community more than doing any good.
Often, some of the valuable contents get unnoticed, and get no such votes as such, which demotivates many people tying to earn based on 'quality'.
This makes the whales richer in the long run, and that's where they excel. Whales are there only to earn money...
One more thing to make note would be that steem is limited in number, so whales, having more steem power will always have an advantage, as they have tons of steem locked already.
The steem platform needs to be restructured entirely to promote better content instead of 'content with more votes from bots', to sustain in the long run.
The fundamental vision of Steem in earning, 'based on quality' is violated based on this system. I would suggest all fellow steemians to join hands together and fight for this unfair system, and instead. I won't use any 'vote bots' in this post, to see whether this post reaches the top developers in the steem platform, to make this a better place for everyone. :)
Request you all to resteem this post, and upvote, if you find it useful.... Remember,I am not going to use any bots, as I dont want to make this system unfair for everyone.... So it is your responsibility to promote this post and get this noticed :)
Thank you. I hope my message is clear....
