One of the reasons why Twitter got so big is that it had verified celebrities and politicians. Recently there are some great things going on in Steemit and with the hard work of the community a lot of big Youtubers and independent journalists are signing up here. This greatly increases exposure to Steemit.
Below is a screenshot from Real Madrid's twitter page with over 29 million followers. Steemit has around 720 000 users today. The number of Real Madrid's Twitter page followers is 40 times the number of Total Steemit users.
I want to step up and accelerate growth on Steemit even further. I want to achieve this by being an intermediator between Sports Teams and Steemit. I am from Turkey and football is literally worshipped here. I also have some decent access to some of the big football teams here in Turkey.
My goal is to use these connections and launch an official professional Football team (from Turkish Premier League) Steemit account that is run by the club itself. If we can succeed with one team this can have a nice ripple effect into other sports, clubs, and athletes and to other type celebrities.
How would this help Steemit and SteemAuto?
- Incredible exposure to Steemit
- Early Steem adopters were people who were into cryptocurrencies and their friends, let us open up sports fans chapter
- Clubs can use the Steemit income to do charity work
- Clubs can decide to invest in Steemit to reward their supporters
- Fanbase and sports go hand to hand
- There is big money in sports
Also, something simple and beneficial would be an API gateway from Twitter to Steemit would be great to mark verified accounts.

This could be a big thing. If we get many athletes and teams on here. Baseball, football, basketball, hockey,soccer. Endless fans for these teams would mean great exposure for Steemit.
