Meet-up at the "Solidary Fridge" Initative
The meet-up was a real blast! A crap load of food was handed out and we cooked some tasty food for everyone to eat as well. I had a real nice time and we made some plans how we could make a big difference in 2018 to minimize the food waste here in Gothenburg, Sweden!

Good job man youre gonna raise so many SBDs and do so much good with them, this is a game of resource collecting and we are going to show the world that we deserve the resources to do what WE want to do because what WE want is best for EVERYONE what we WANT is what others NEED
we will get funding for our projects because what we do is valuable to society and it will only recognize our accomplishments over all we will get upvotes automatically and now we will never have to worry about making money NOW it is just a game to see how much we can all make... because imagine if we had worked harder, we should have had multiple Bitcoins man

Wow... Just wow. - That's a ton of stuff you've got there!
I remember when I used to work in a supermarket here in Sweden. We had to throw away everything that was near expiring date. Even 3 ,4 and 5 days before expiring date. - We just threw everything in a huge container and never saw it again. Instead of giving it away to homeless people for instance, which I personally believe we should've done. - Especially when we had homeless people sitting practically outside the store.
That said, I can definitely see why people are doing dumpster diving, but I would probably never do it myself.

I did it as a kid and when I was younger. I loved to collect old computers and that sort of things. Loved to take the parts from peoples trash and what they called garbage.
Nowadays though... Nah. I don't know. Doesn't feel like me. I guess I'm not that person since I became an adult or something.

Yea its nuts for how much gets tossed out! I even when I worked for one company we had a lot of boxed foods we had to throw and I brought it up to the District Manager and they said "We cant give the expired food to the shelters just in case they sue us" which to me sounds like a huge lie/excuse
yup there are lots of those, I think the truth is they need to throw the food to keep demand high as the amount of food that is thrown away is substantial to say the least!
Yea thats true though stores see how much they sell and how much they void out you would think theyd make the system proper

places here have started dumping bleach in their dumpsters on top of the food to discourage "freegans" which is lame. Food wasting should be a crime
agreed, think it's still very uncommon practice
