Wow, your dumpster diving haul looks amazing. The last time I went dumpster diving, it was dark, I had to climb into a huge garbage bin and the items were all expired. Also a lot of businesses just dump their food along with trash. Also I was scared of getting caught the whole time!

because the amount that is wasted far exceeds the need of the people in need and it would affect there profits considerably as the overproduction is out of control to say the least...

The environment could do with more people such as yourself. We humans need to be conscious of ourselves, at all times. What we count as waste might be a treasure to others. I would upvote you but sadly it isn't worth much.
