What Is SteemFollower?

SteemFollower is a third party tool created by @mahdiyari that connects with the STEEM blockchain using your private posting key to display your most recent post. The tool used to login with this key is Steemconnect which is considered secure.

SteemFollower Technical Difficulties:

SteemFollower is having technical difficulties with the RPC node.

For running a private RPC node for steem blockchain, you need a server with about 256GB RAM as well as powerful SSD storage and a high speed internet connection for handling many RPC/websocket connections. To get it to run smoothly we need a private rpc node for steemfollower and steemauto. The cost would be about 500 USD per month for running something stable..

Three different options:
1- Create a donation page and ask for donations in steemfollower and steemauto.

2- Make some premium features and take money for using them.

3- Add daily one post to the sites which should be upvoted by users before using the web site.

We need more ideas, please participate and help to growing steemfollower and steemauto!

How does SteemFollower work?
It's a platform where you get points from curating other members of SteemFollower. The more points you have the more visible you are on the platform.

How does the point system work?
You receive points from upvoting which makes your latest post visible and increases your exposure on the platform. When someone upvotes you the same value of points are subtracted.

Do I need to submit my post to SteemFollower?
No, the last post you have edited is automatically visible on SteemFollower? as long as you have points and done 5 upvotes that 24h period or the day before.

The latest post* you edit is the one that is visible on SteemFollower.

It is a robot that automatically finds similar content (plagiarism). Read more here!

What is that daily 5 Upvotes? and Maximum Upvoting limit?
To stay visible on SteemFollower you need to make at least 5 upvotes each day. There is a maximum numbers of times you can upvote posts through SteemFollower.

SteemFollower has a reset timer every 24h. Set an alarm so you know when it's reset then upvote at least 5 posts through the platform and the latest post will be visible again

Reko-suave, I ALWAYS upvote Madyahari's "Steem & SBD Daily Price" post for this very reason - out of support for the SteemFollower platform. I am thinking that you guys could add some MORE information to that daily post (ex. information about progress on important Steem projects, daily statistics on Steemit, like search engine rankings, new members, etc. In this way SF members get some valuable info each day in exchange for the mandatory upvote which then funds the server stuff. I think this is the most SURE and FAIR way to do it, and is a win-win for everyone. I would definitely continue giving my first daily vote to such post.

Thanks for the information. Apart from the 3 options stated above,in raising the fund needed I think users can be mandated to pay a little percentage of the proceed they acquired per month with the use of the platform.

Writing too technical lengthy blogs kills the user interest to read and understand all of it. At first you will have the more active sign up activity and then later on slows down user growth.

Instead of writing articles i would suggest you create some ** free podcasts ** to let more users listen while driving vehicles or at home. Take a scenario create a example and explain about it would get a response faster and more people will take interest in it. Thanks for this opportunity.
