I confess that I have dropped the ball in my posting and curating of content to Steem and Dtube.
Not Sure if I Want to do this Any longer...
I do love creating Content and trying to continue improving the quality that I put out. But it's tough just doing it for pennies and nothing much else.
There are Some People....
who get paid well over $20 no matter what kind of content they put out. Jealous ?? Not really just feel slighted a little
Life is not fair so...
I will keep the 'woe is me' to a minimum lol. Afterall it is me who has to produce on a regular basis to get Attention and Rewards. No one to blame but myself.
But....
the price of Steem is in a seriously bad position. I do not see the Recovery any time soon. Could be years. Who knows
So I will probably lay low for awhile
( let my Stake do the work) and let things sort themselves out. Unless of course I catch that "Content Bug" again and want to post some good stuff. Then you'll see me and the self proclaim "Content Jedi" hard at work :)

It’s kind of hit and miss for me at the moment - the @actifit posts help as a slice of my day when I have been busy. And actually @dtube content is getting some good support, especially if you burn DTC when you upload. With Christmas close it’s a good time to enjoy family too - balance life a little. !COFFEEA

We all need a break from time to time in anything that we do. Take some time away let your stake keep working for you and then check back in a few weeks with new ideas and a fresh perspective.
You will probably start to miss the whole scene after the first couple of days anyway and want to get back into it. There is a reason we all get holidays as you need to be able to hit the refresh button and not get burned out.
You should really look into some of the other communities that are starting up. I think you might find a good home in one of them. Plus the rewards are better. Everything still converts to STEEM in the end, but you might find some more traction in them. I have been doing pretty well in the Sports Talk Social Community. I hope you don't give up, but I understand more than anyone how hard it can be.
This is part of why I like Actifit. It gives me a post everyday..
Hi Robert. Yes it is a real shame. I'm sure you know I watch your Dtube content when I get the chance, but these days I've been quite busy on various projects. I haven't even made that many videos myself.
On taking a break, there's nothing wrong with taking a back seat for a while to be honest. It will probably refresh you.
In terms of rewards, Steem is more about networking than the quality of your content. Which is why you've correctly observed that some people get more than others regardless of quality/effort/otherwise.
I think it has gotten a little better though, since NewSteem. A lot of the smaller accounts make more than they used to make, and most of those highly paid posts get downvoted to much lower by the time the payout day comes.. depending on the content.

I feel ya' - in addition I have been targetted by some asshole who never posts anything, but has enough SP to come and downvote anything I do. Watch... if you care to give this comment an upvote, the realniggerianprince will be by to downvote it. He adds NOTHING to the platform, only takes away and discourages content creators. I put an autovoter on, I get some vote dust by curation that way. There is no hope for me to actually create a post and have it earn even the twenty cents or so I used to earn. I swing by to check for decent content to try to manually curate... not much of that to be had these days either.
