This is so important. I couldn't agree more.
I'm gearing up to try to make youtube videos. When I do, I will say nothing about Steemit at all, just end up by saying, "If you liked this video, there's extra written content on my Blog, linked below."
The link will be to my Steemit blog, and I'll say nothing more about it. No shilling whatsoever, which I don't like.
However, if the person wants to talk to me on my Steemit Blog, they'll have to join Steemit.
This sort of soft promo is key to platform growth.
