Steem and SBD seems to have been more stable due to the fact that the trading seems to be moving away from Poloniex, which is very good :)
Even my favorite of favorite coins had a very nice bump today on the market.

You always make good points and have good insight. I do want to know more about gridcoin. Why do you like it so much? You've peaked my interest because I value your opinion.
Where to start :D
Gridcoin is a very interesting coin because it rewards computation done on the BOINC platform. The BOINC platform is a program for distributed work that has been around for 15 years this year, and lets anyone in need for computational power to start a project and hand out work units to users.
Before Gridcoin came, this process was purely voluntary and gave no reward in return. Many people run BOINC because of the many humanitarian aspects of the concept. Many of the projects researches on cure for HIV/AIDS, Cancer and TB (WCG) while others try to make an accurate map of the milkyway (MilkyWay@Home) or search for Aliens (SETI@Home).
Gridcoin rewards equally amongst the people on the Gridcoin BOINC Team, which will soon not be required, for the work done amongst the users that has advertised their BOINC ID on the Gridcoin network.
It's a Proof-of-Stake wallet, which means that the wallets own footprint is minimal while being able to divert resources to the important BOINC platform. The community is passionate about the projects and there is today a large group of volunteer developers in the community helping out with various tasks.
The community has a good presence on Steemit under the #gridcoin tag.
