How Mankind Will Most Likely Cause Its Own Demise

Can you possibly imagine nature without man? No hustle and bustle of daily life. No noise. No pollution. It would seem strange right? It's not like there is a deficiency of threats from the natural world, but who needs regular disasters when you've got the cheeky skills of a human?

Stephen Hawking has cautioned that humanity is in risk of terminating itself in the next 100 years as we swiftly advance in the territories of science and technology.

While communicating with the BBC, he alleged that "while progress was good, it creates new ways things can go wrong.” He emphasized nuclear war, global warming, and genetically-engineered viruses as possible indications of disaster of our own creation.

Hawking pointed out that he is a visionary, and he trusts we can overtake the complications that could face humanity. But if the foulest thing was to happen, one way we could guarantee the existence of the human race is to have a settlement on another planet, such as Mars.

Situations such as globalists using GMOs to facilitate mass production of food are getting increasingly common. People get attacked by cancer because of their consumption of these products.

Also, it's certain that we'll progress with artificial intelligence soon. But what's not as assured is whether or not we'll ever be able to develop artificial mindfulness. Neuroscientists and cognitive scientists have not developed a proper theory to explicate conscious awareness, so it's no sure that eventually AI will grow in the ways we think.

Subsequently, consciousness uploads would be a form of suicide with their being an apparent version of you. As Ray Kurzweil predicted in The Age of Spiritual Machines, "The year is 2029. The machines will convince us that they are conscious, that they have their own agenda worthy of our respect. They'll embody human qualities, they'll claim to be human, and we'll believe them." But this could obviously be false resulting in the whole world to upload themselves into unconsciousness — causing billions of mindless androids running about like bots in a video game.

Moral of the Story: We might just be killed or taken over by our own inventions.
