As i said in our discussion yesterday, that diverged slightly into "who deserves it more" my point was actually on the grounds that
- Steemit.inc "idle" Sp exists.
- It could be used for more then only dapps.
Even after all the comments on the post i fail to understand why so much Steemit.inc Sp is standing idle not being used for anything. Its not being used to upvote or for delegation and i think thats a waste.
Also as you mentioned Val-a dropped delegation from Curie which i have to see as a corporate decision.
Keeping SP idle makes you think that maybe they dont think there are projects deserving of that SP on the blockchain, and my argument is that there are, and with that quite amazing ones.
Hi @silentscreamer
I enjoyed the discussion yesterday, thanks.
With regards to idle SP, I believe this is a good thing as far as the rewards pool is concerned. If all the SP was in use each day, we'd all be earning peanuts - only whale votes would be worth anything at all.
I'd like to find something to back this up with, but am heading out soon and so I hope someone else will make a comment in this regard.
The slow and steady distribution of SP in line with a rising price is a think the best way to go. Saying that, what's being used already could be shuffled into the projects discussed too.
I chose @curie over bid-bots, and wish that more would do the same.
Thanks again for your comments yesterday and today.
Yeah. Talked to Meno about the exact same thing when it comes to the reward pool but still i think that offsetting the effect of bidbots on the trending page would be worth the slightly reduced payouts.
Id be willing to take a loss if it means that the "Steemit store front" changes its appearance for the better.
Yeah, it was a nice discussion. Have a great day and thx for your help. ;)
Sadly, you cant get close to a Post stacked with Bots at present. It would take something like a 100% vote from an account with 9 million SP to top trending - unlikely :(
Front of house is a shocker at present for sure. Hopefully in time, this will change.
Cheers :)
