Hey Again, Steemitzens!
Recently, Steemit Whale, @sean-king posted a very simple two line blog entry here on steemit.com
This was his entire, simple, poignant post:
This is the comment reply which I left on his post (with some added images here), because I wanted this thought to get more visibility than being just buried in some comment thread.
Exactly this. If you want steemit to work, you have to work it and that means doing more than just using your votes on yourself. You have to spread the love and get this economy working. Buying steem and steem power are also good, healthy inputs into the steemit economy.
This is so much bigger than just another website to post lunch photos on. Cryptocurrency and the block chain / smart contract / decentralized exchange of goods and services and compensation concepts are a new way to do business, and a new way to use "currency" and a new paradigm in economics.
Folks who don't take a few minutes to understand what we are doing on steemit will end up just being the "consumers" in this economy, but those who publish and interact and vote wisely and buy and sell STEEM and bring new spends into the economy by buying steem and steem power and participating actively in all things related to the eco-system will be the market makers, movers and shakers and ultimately the steemit whales and tycoons.
If you could go back in time, to the beginnings of the US Dollar. Would you rather become an innovative, highly contributing wealth creator, like say Andrew Carnegie or Henry Ford or do you want to end up just being a basic consumer who sort of let it all pass them by only to end up working all day for peanuts?
The difference is in the balance of selfishness and selflessness that you apply to the endeavor. It will take some of both for you and, as a result all of us, to thrive and survive here as a community!
So by all means, vote for yourselves and your friends. But if you exclude everyone else, then @sean-king is right, you have only set yourself up to be excluded by everyone else.
We are all in this together. If you work only for yourself, this place won't last very long. If we work to promote others, and earn the value of promotion BY others for ourselves, we will get MUCH further as a whole towards helping steemit and steem achieve the momentum and attraction they need to take over the world!
All this made me think of a few future cliche's to start throwing around!
Steem Work Makes The Dreem Work!
Dreem Work Makes The Steem Work!
Steem Meme's are Steemes, Dammit!
Ok that last one is just a personal campaign of mine to invent a new word, lol, and checking to see if you read this far? :D, so did you? Let me know in the comments below!
And just like that, this post is over.
Full steem ahead, steemitizens!

@sircork AKA The "Henry Ford of our time"! :P ..
Thanks for the good read.
Wow, I'll take that allegation as a huge compliment!
Thanks for reading good! :P
I'm all about creative innovation, doing things like everybody else is going in a maddening circle. I think that's one of the things that attracts me to this site.
Me too! Thanks for reading!
Resteemed! this message is one we should all keep in mind.
It's THE message all Steemitizens should keep in mind, in my opinion! Thanks for reading @pressurepointau !
No disagreement here and @sircork, you are welcome of course !
Bahahahaha. Almost like a diagram of working in a research team.
I think you meant a "dreem reesearch teem"!
:D
Dreem , Steem and Steemes all essential to the Steemit economy...
This guy gets it!
I'm beeming with pride like a proud father right now! :D
Steemit can be dreemy or seedy. The choice is ours. Who are we inside, steem peeple, that's what really matters!
Why thank you @sircork... However, in the interests of full disclosure it is 'girl' ;-) And Steemit certainly has been amazing for me...
Goodness me, DID I JUST ASSUME YOUR GENDER??? OMGEEZ!?!?!?!
I'm so sorry. Not sure why I lept to that conclusion. I guess because I thought that all Australia had was tough alligator wrestling dudes and kangaroos. I am culturally American, meaning, I'm a big loud dumbass sometimes. (But I'm tall and skinny as a skeleton - not fat, bucking the trend!)
No apology required sircork... and I'm trying to cut down on the crocodile wrestling, especially since the late Steve Irwin's, Australia Zoo is only about 10 minutes down the road from here, so I have a large population of crocs nearby should the urge overwhelm me lol
I lived in south Florida for ten years. Crocs are cool and all, but have you ever seen a pissed off Alligator? Holy COW!
Can't say I have, but looking forward to it on my future travels...
AMEN! As yes it helps you, your lover, and your friends. But don't limit the help to them! Resteem for sure, help get their word out there....help get them followers. But remember the folk, especially the new, who are here and around you!
But ALWAYS help your lover!
Take it from me, I'm twice divorced from people that didn't help! :)
right. but in reality you are both on this site....both making money. yes it's a way to help each other make more money, but i can't help but feel like that's partly cheating. don't get me wrong tho, i have resteemed and upvoted my lovers intro of course. thus helping him be seen and get his word out there. but after so long, i think he's a bit on his own like all of us. again the idea is not to focus on the money but be a part of the community. money is merely the perk. otherwise this just becomes a popularity site.
I've never been a very popular lover. ;)
aww. well if your lovers were only for money it's best they are gone anyways. ;) it's about so much more....as is life
as is steemit! See you in the steem!
Following hope you aslo do the same n upvote
Thanks!
Good article thanks for posting and explaining. Cryptocurrency & the whole concept is all so new to me but I'm jumping in any way and trying to figure it out as I go.
Youtube and steemit searches on the topic are your friends in learning cryptocoin stuff.
