People are scared of everything new, especially the older generation. Look at politics and how difficult it is to see ration change. It's all good though. True believers in Steemit will keep blogging no matter what :D

Yes human nature is cautious, which is fine I guess..
Very “smart and intelligent” people seem to be more cautious than others I remember reading somewhere.

I am the so called “older” generation and most of my “friends” are too slow but I would say mostly People who lived their lives without taking risks will hesitate. I jumped right in! My logical mind told me nothing to loose except my time as long as I try.
