It is about whether people want to help build the Steem community or go for the quick buck. The latter has done nothing good for the Steem price or community growth. Those who have built a large amount of Steem will want the price to go up and I think that means encouraging people to join and use it by ensuring good content earns better. We can do well from curating it. It may be harder for small accounts as they do not have enough SP to make much and lack followers, but they need to put in the work to improve on that as we have. Less bot voting has to be a good thing and I hope some of the big accounts will make use of those free downvotes to reduce the rewards of some who just take whilst adding no value.
Here's to the New Steem!
Crossing fingers! I think I am done buying Steem unless it falls another 50%.
I have bought some small amounts, but I am doing okay with what I earn. I think any real rise in price needs to be driven by real results and not just speculation. It is sad to see Steem so low in the charts, but that is down to the issues with the platform. Maybe Steemit can give us some hope.
