#Promo-Steem - Showcasing and Exhibiting #Steem at Events and Shows around the World
Showcasing and Exhibiting #Steem at Events and Shows around the World
I am constantly being asked to showcase and exhibit #Steem at events and shows around the world and when I share these invitations to the #Steem Community no one seems to be interested.
I would be interest to know you thoughts on this type of Marketing and Promotional Initiative and whether you think this type of activity brings real value to the #Steem Blockchain.
Sure, each event is different and will carry a different weight when it comes to adding value to the #Steem Blockchain, but I am curious as to whether there is appetite in the Community to support such initiatives.
Promoting #Steem as a #SocialMedia #MediaPartner
Currently, I am working with a number of event organisers around the World as a strategic Media Partner, in return giving their events added exposure on Social Media.
Building these relationships opens up countless opportunity to take #Steem around the World, not only to showcase and exhibit, but also valuable presentational slots and great stage exposure.
Pulling out of Malta
Regular readers of my Blog will know that have recently had to make the tough decision to pull-out of Malta out of lack of support, a decision that broke my heart.
Currently, there is a tremendous amount of hard work being put in to developing some great applications on the #Steem Blockchain, but if nobody gets out there and tells people, how are these applications going to get the exposure that they quite rightly deserve?
Thanks again for reading.
Stephen
getting the word out is very important, kudos to you for the great work you do in promoting #steem!!
As I added in your other post, I am hoping that the SPS can get you some funding for you to close the gaps a little in the travel costs etc. I agree that marketing is needed and I think it has to happen predominantly at the application/tribe level as they will be the onboarders. Perhaps those applications can help you with the support you need in return for some specific advertising mentions for them.
I see you've been promoting Steem ever since the day I became active on Steem. Keep on good work, Stephen!
As someone who has also spent a decent amount of money out of pocket to promote Steem, I just want to say thank you for what you have been doing, as I know it’s not easy. This is pretty important imo and quite silly that we don’t have paid representation many places.. like every other platform.
I do think well thought out marketing efforts and representation at conferences is needed and yes the SPS could help with that.. possibly.
I have seen a few of your posts and I’m sorry that the support was just not there. I understand you are asking for advice and I guess my advice would be (if your goal is to get more attention/support from the community) to make those posts more appealing to the community.
A quick posts and photo that says you are somewhere may not grab their attention, but a post with photos of the event and a write up of your experience, will.
A pre event post could include - where you are going, what your message will be, what you hope to accomplish etc.
You might do a video or something there or a quick update post.
Then a post after the event could include what your overall experience was. How was the message received? What are your overall take aways? As well as some photos etc.
Just my advice on how to get more attention on those posts, as the community most definitely likes to feel like they were there or got to experience it and want to know how it went Etc.
In my 2 cents opinion. The more the things view the more popularity it will gain. More viewing is only possible to share it in different platform. A little effort in this regard can turn the table and may produce great result. So, we should try whatever we can do either in social media or in an event. your efforts for promoting this community is laudable. All the best. Keep it up @stephenkendal
I believe that a lot of people who care about Steem are either developing something on it, promoting it as you do, etc...
That doesn't mean that it is not appreciated. I understand your point and I hope people who promote Steem outside of our ecosystem will get more recognition because there lies a true intention of one Steemian trying to bring more people closer to Steem.
I thank you wholeheartedly and I hope you, as others, will get more recognition and help by the community to push this blockchain on another level.
BIG Respect for your work!
Thanks for doing all that you do! Building relationships is an important part of getting the Steem name out <3 Cheers and keep at it!
I believe that the presence at such conferences is a portal for success and building up the community and expanding it. Nothing can replace a live experience and simply feeling apart of a tribe that shares with passion so many projects from Steem. And with some success stories like Splienterlands there are the bases to build trust as well.
It is necessary to do an expansion work of Steem. Promotion is the best option.
I fully support your initiative.
Keep it up @stephenkendal, steem need people spreading the word

Hola @stephenkendal, claro que se puede hacer, ya es hora de que todos coloquemos nuestro aporte, pequeño o grande, todos debemos participar…
Hello @stephenkendal, of course you can do it, it's time for all of us to place our contribution, small or large, we must all participate...

Your call for attention has arrived, perhaps not as it should have been but it is a beginning, do not let it go, HAY TO DO IT!....
Su llamado de atención a llegado, quizás no como debería haber sido pero es un inicio, no hay que soltarlo, ¡HAY QUE HACERLO!...
I've upvoted most of your pending post and will stay on the lookout,

Thank you for your support.
As Strategic Media Partner to #Avantpay19 I managed to negotiate an exhibition booth for #Potcoin.
I was also offered a chance to exhibit #Steem and to make a presentation.
Unfortunately due to other commitments I was unable to fly out to Washington DC myself, otherwise I would have loved to have done it.
I reached out for someone in Washington DC to attend, exhibit and do a presentation.
But no one was interested.
These enquiries are coming in on a regular basis but when I share them with the #Steem Community no one seems to be interested to support them.
I am hoping that appetite for this type of promotional activity will come soon.
Stephen
How hard was it to have a pot cryptocurrency allowed to pay for a booth at a pot + cryptocurrency themed event?
I wouldn't like to share publicly what was agreed, but it was a mutual agreement that gave us x2 booths.
One for #Potcoin and one for #changeangel.
Four delegates attended the event covering the x2 booths and work is now progressing on the connections made.
Yesterday, I had a debriefing call with #Potcoin and they were extremely pleased with the outcome.
As Media Partner with Avantpay we help with their Social Media exposure and are looking forward to repeating everything at the next event.
Stephen
Potcoin is a scam.
