I've Got 116.5 STEEM And I'm Trying To Figure Out How To Use It

Hey STEEMIANS!

I signed up for a STEEMIT account in November, at that time I believe I made a post or two, but I did not really understand the platform. Over the last week or two I've been reading more and more content on the site, and I've started to post more. I now have 116.5 STEEM a little bit of STEEM POWER and I'm looking to help others who are posting amazing content grow their following and get their content out there.

I'm really looking to invest some time into the platform and promote those who are putting out great content. I wouldn't mind sharing what I receive with others as well, the problem that I'm having is I still haven't figured out how to use the system to it's fullest for everyone, myself included.

So I got to thinking and I decided that I write a post and see if any other STEEMIANS would like to help me out! Please feel free to leave me some ideas in the comments below.

Thank you in advance! I look forward to reading them!

Power Up. Your posts and vote ups will be worth more. Steem will continue to rise in price. MO.

@crowe thank you for sharing. There is one thing I'm having troubles understanding, when I upvote, it doesn't show me the slider to decide how much I want to upvote like some of the videos and posts I've seen on STEEMIT. How can I control how much I upvote?

If you are going to invest your time here I would recommend powering up. It gives you greater influence on payouts and can also benefit your rewards later on. Hope you find my advice helpful and feel free to check out my blog and see if any of it interests you and give me a follow back if you'd like. @dan21050

@dan21050 I've followed you. Thank you for the advice. I did see where I can power up. Should I power up with all of it? Is it the more power I have the greater the influence on payouts I'll have, or do I need to have followers too?

Followers do help but that can be bought up over time. Try and get engaged in the communit and comment on peoples posts and slowly you will receive more followers. Personally I power up whatever Steem I have as my ambition is to get the most out of the platform. Please not though that once you have powered up you cannot with draw the steem out of the SP in one go. You power down gradually over a period of time (13 weeks I think) which is ok as long as you don't need the steem in the foreseeable.

Thank you! I'm reading it now! I also noticed DTube. I do a lot of Youtube videos and was sharing them here, I'm guessing it would be better to upload the to DTube instead of just sharing them here?

welcome ... thanks

here is allowed only common creative videos .. cc videos

Hey @stevenelsonjr ! It is great that you would like to help people on this platform! I would offer you to put most of it to SP (Steem Power), by clicking on the arrow next to your STEEm and select power up, there you can choose how much would you like to power up. it will increase value of your upvote. If you would like some other methods, i would offer you to create contest! To write a blog, make a video, show effort to support, an interesting initiative, you name it! So I guess i can help you this much, but if you have any question, drop me a line!

@artakush thank you for the advice. I'm going to power up now. I'm quite interested in the platform, so I will think of some interesting things. =) Thanks gain for the help!

No problem, it is my pleasure to help a fellow STEEMIAN!

Way to go man I think i joined around the same time as you, I haven't been really active much on Steemit to give you any valuable tips so I will just say good luck and enjoy being a Steemit pioneer! :)

@dantestewart thanks for the support my friend. I greatly appreciate it! I'm really looking at what I can contribute to the community that can help everyone. This is going to be fun! =)
