Thank you for sharing this @jordanlove. Most people are just here for the money without taking time to study the platform and understand the basics. If only they can be patient, they will understand the enormous power they have on the platform. I am resteeming this on my blog so that more people can read this and be motivated to chose whether to stay or to leave the platform.

I definetely agree with you., some people come here to make quick bucks and get disappointed when they see low payouts. It's funny but some people actually believe they DESERVE to get paid on here. Like who else pays you to be you? thanks for your thoughtful comment
The biggest problem for newcomers is maybe that if they write a good introduction post, this post will immediately gets some value. From then on they think that each post they will write, will get the same pay out.
We all started in the dark days when it was hard to get noticed. And for me it still is. But I'm here to stay. I do like to interact with people, reading about lots of topics I never thought about and seeing some interesting viewpoints, completely different from mine.
Probably the money part, was the motivator that made me make the plunge! But I do see it mere as a nice side effect!
