To the best of my knowledge, the price of sbd whether spikes or reduced Depends on how the people on Steemit invest or act so if it's pegged at $1 I feel the potency of the system might be reduced.
The purpose was to put power to the people, freedom. Why then allow what we earn and the value of what we earn to be limited.

I don't know the negative sides lf pumping. But a bigger carrot, encouraging a rabbit to get the job done, is better than a medium sized carrot to make him do a mediocre job.
